My
Story

Get to Know Our CEO, Mira Eggleston

I'll start off by saying, this is NOT your traditional bio or "About You" section of a website. Nothing about me is traditional and for me to be authentic, I want to tell you "about me", as if we were talking.

If I had to describe myself, I'd say (and others have told me)...

I'm passionate about things that make me happy, which is helping people, in all ways. I'm easy going (but serious when I need to be), compassionate, a problem solver, and caring. Since childhood, I've always had a passion for helping people. As a child, I had an affinity for dancing, singing, looking at houses, financial/credit solutions (sounds crazy, but it's true), and helping people with the obstacles they faced. Over the years, I became the "go-to" person for my family and friends for all of the above.

Today...

I'm still doing each of those, whether it's through Holistic Wellness, Shake That Fit by Mira (my weekly dance fitness class), helping those who need financial/credit guidance, and I'm an Associate Broker | REALTOR® at Legend Realty. When I say I want to focus on the TOTAL "YOU", I mean that...I can help you with it ALL! Lol

Realizing that strong urge to help people,

as a single mom, I decided to pursue a degree in Social Work, at Alabama A&M University. My daughter even went to class with me, in her very early years of life.

Thankfully, my professors didn't mind. After further researching ways to help on a broader scale,

I transferred to Faulker University and graduated with a BS in Human Resource Management.

A couple of months after graduating, I started looking into graduate school.

Now, if I'm completely transparent with you ...

Sallie Mae needed to be paid and I couldn't afford the payments, BUT I knew if I was in school, I didn't have to pay, so off to graduate school I went, pursuing a graduate degree from Liberty University. Lol I graduated a little over a year later, with a MA in Human Services, concentrating in Executive Leadership. Since the Human Services field also had Life Coaches, I decided to also get my certification.

After graduation, I was given a stipend to complete my PhD, but by this time, I was sick of school and wanted to focus on how I could help others, with all of the knowledge I had. Well, the "sick of school" didn't last long. I enrolled in Trinity School of Natural Health and graduated as a Natural Health Practitioner in 2015, later becoming Board Certified in 2021.

There's a saying ...

If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans ...

The end of June 2018, I decided to find a commercial space for Holistic Wellness, but days after signing a lease, I was diagnosed with a rare type of breast cancer, which spread to the liver, making me stage 4.

Totally Unprepared for that News ...

I canceled the lease agreement and started focusing on my health. The doctors gave me 3 years to live, max. At that point, I had to do everything I'd been taught. I realized becoming a Practitioner, was for me. I needed to heal myself and prove to others that this "natural stuff", as people close to me call it, actually works!

AFTER BEING DIAGNOSED,

I was on leave for a LONG time, having multiple surgeries and eventually left my government job. I worked for the government for15 years and my plan was to retire, then do ALL of the things I love. My life has completely changed and I get to do ALL of the things I love now and help people! I couldn't be more grateful. My life has been a beautiful mess. Although I didn't like the challenges I've faced throughout my life, I understand why things had to happen. For that, I'm grateful. Sometimes, you go through things to be an example for others. I just pray God doesn't put me on the "strongest warrior" list in years to come (fingers crossed). LOL

I'm one of those people that like things to be perfect and ready, especially when it comes to business operations, but are we ever "ready"? What I DO know is I'm ready to help people heal and if I continue to wait until things are perfect, it'll never happen. So, here we are... I'm ready! Are you? Let's start your holistic healthy journey together, today!  You don't have to know where to start, leave that to me. All you have to do is book an appointment! We'll do a consultation and see what your needs are and how I can help you meet your goals. Give me a call!

I'll See You Soon!
